About DSP's explanation

The term DSP is becoming more and more widely used in CCTV industry. DSP (Digital Signal Processing) is the abbreviation of digital signal processing. The DSP chip improves the video processing and operation performance of the camera.

FLICKERLESS (without flashing)

The power frequency is 50Hz, CCD accumulation time is 1/50 seconds, if you use the NISC camcorder, the vertical synchronization frequency is 60Hz, this will cause the visual images are not synchronized, appear on the monitor flashing; conversely, with standard PAL camera in the 60Hz power supply for the area will also have this phenomenon. In order to overcome this phenomenon, in the electronic shutter set no flashing mode files, the NISC standard camera provides 1/100 seconds, providing a fixed shutter speed of 1/120 seconds for PAL camcorder, can prevent image monitor flicker.

Lens control signal

Synchronous selection

Automatic brightness control / electronic brightness control

ALC/ELC (automatic brightness control / electronic brightness control): when you select ELC, the electronic shutter according to the incoming light brightness and continuously and automatically change the exposure time of CCD image sensor (from 1/50 to 1/10000 seconds adjustable). In this mode, you can replace the ALC automatic iris lens with a fixed or manual diaphragm lens.

Automatic white balance

ATW ON/OFF (auto white balance): switch to ON, through the lens to detect the characteristics of the light source / color temperature, thus continuously and automatically set the white level, even if the characteristic / color temperature change can control the red and blue signal gain.

AGC ON/OFF (automatic gain control): the camera has a signal from the CCD amplifier can be used to standard video amplifier, the amplification gain is equal to the higher sensitivity, but in the light of the environment will make the video amplifier overload, signal distortion. When the switch is at ON, the lens aperture is fully switched on under low brightness conditions, and the gain is automatically increased to obtain a clear image. When the switch is at OFF, the image with natural and low noise can be obtained at low brightness.

Installation and adjustment of CCD camera
